Textron Leadership Development Program: Supply Chain

From the flow of raw materials to production to quality control to shipping, a high functioning supply chain is key to our ability to meet customer expectations. Our LDP for Supply Chain professionals is sponsored by the Supply Chain Council, comprised of supply chain leaders from Textron’s businesses who are committed to producing the next generation of supply chain leaders.

During the two years of the Supply Chain LDP program, you will rotate through four different business units. Each six-month rotation is purposely focused on a different aspect of the supply chain function, which provides a solid and broad base of skills and experiences. You’ll travel to our businesses for training throughout the program. The LDP curriculum provides content relevant to your development as a supply chain professional and as a potential leader. Throughout the LDP experience, you will have numerous opportunities to engage the Supply Chain Council and business unit leaders, as well as to network with your peers.

What does an LDP Supply Chain rotation look like?

Our LDP Supply Chain rotations give you in-depth experience in multiple industries with hands-on exposure to some of today’s leading supply chain management systems. Examples include:

The LDP for engineers is sponsored by the Engineering & Technology Council, comprised of the vice presidents of engineering from each of our businesses and representing some of the top talent in the company.

During the two years of the LDP Engineering program, you will rotate through two different business units. Each rotation is purposely focused on a different aspect of engineering to provide you with a solid and broad base of skills and experiences. You’ll travel to our businesses for training throughout the program. The LDP curriculum provides content relevant to your development as an engineering professional and as a potential leader. You will also have opportunities to meet with members of the Engineering & Technology Council and network with your peers.

Our Human Resources community is deeply committed to developing a talent pool of professionals who can support and drive company success. The leadership team that sponsors the Leadership Development Program Human Resources is made up of our Chief Human Resources Officer and the vice presidents of human resources from each of Textron’s businesses.

During the two years of this program, you will rotate through two different business units or the corporate office. Each rotation is purposely focused on a different aspect of human resources which provides you with a solid and broad base of skills and experiences. You’ll travel to our businesses for training throughout the program. The program curriculum provides content relevant to your development as a human resources professionals and as a potential leader. Throughout the LDP experience, you will have numerous opportunities to engage the Human Resources Leadership Team and business unit leaders, as well as to network with your peers.

Our LDP for information technology participants is sponsored by the Information Management Council, which is comprised of Textron's Chief Information Officer and the CIOs from each of our businesses. They are the most senior technology experts in the company—people who share a passion for building a pipeline of future leaders in Textron's global IT organization.

During the two years of the program, you will rotate through two different business units or the corporate office. Each 12-month rotation is purposely focused on a different aspect of information technology to provide you with a solid and broad base of skills and experiences. Heavy emphasis is placed on the development of project management skills and methodology. You’ll travel to our businesses for training throughout the program. The LDP curriculum provides content relevant to your development as an information technology professional and as a potential leader. Throughout the LDP experience, you will have numerous opportunities to engage the Information Management Council and business unit leaders, as well as to network with your peers.

As a multi-billion dollar business with outstanding growth potential, we rely heavily upon the knowledge and expertise of the many financial analysts and accounting professionals across our operations. Our LDP for finance professionals is sponsored by the Finance Council, comprised of our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the CFOs from each of Textron’s businesses—the senior most financial advisors to the company.

During your two years in the program, you will rotate through two different business units or the corporate office. Each rotation is purposely focused on a different aspect of corporate finance, providing you with a solid and broad base of skills and experiences. You’ll travel for training to our businesses throughout the program. The LDP curriculum provides content relevant to your development as a finance professional and as a potential leader. Throughout your LDP experience, you will have numerous opportunities to engage the Finance Council and business unit leaders, as well as to network with your peers. You will also be assigned a mentor early on in the program, whom you can rely on to assist and support you throughout your time in LDP.

Interested in becoming a CPA but concerned about the cost of study materials and exam and certification fees? Our new CPA Incentive Package eliminates the expenses associated with certification and includes financial rewards. 

The package details include*:

  • One-time reimbursement for study materials
  • Reimbursement for four CPA exam fees and certification fees
  • Bonuses for completion (Bonuses are grossed up to cover taxes.)
    • $5,000 bonus if all four parts of the exam are completed in first three years

They are individuals with a proven track record and a vested interest in producing the highest caliber marketing and sales teams to help grow the business.

During the two years of the program, you will rotate through two different business units or the corporate office. Each 12-month rotation is purposely focused on a different aspect of the marketing & sales profession, which provides a solid and broad base of skills and experiences. You’ll travel to our businesses for training throughout the program. The LDP program curriculum provides content relevant to your development as a marketing & sales professional and as a potential leader. Throughout your LDP experience, you’ll also have numerous opportunities to engage the Marketing & Sales Council and business unit leaders, as well as to network with your peers.
