Bell Helicopter
Pioneering Aviation Technology
Bell Helicopter [1] is the world’s leading provider of vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Founded in 1935, Bell Helicopter has delivered more than 34,000 helicopters to customers worldwide and was the first company to obtain certification of a commercial helicopter.
Today, we are comprised of an international network of partnerships dedicated to engineering, manufacturing and supporting some of the world’s most advanced rotor and tiltrotor aircraft. Bell has recently teamed up with Boeing to introduce innovative tiltrotor aviation technology that is used in the V-22 Osprey. Bell has also successfully applied this technology to develop the Bell Eagle Eye UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) as well as the Bell/Agusta BA609, the world’s first civil tiltrotor aircraft.
