Textron's Industrial segment is comprised of four businesses, including subsidiaries and operating divisions, that manufacture and market branded industrial products worldwide. In 2008, these businesses generated 20 percent of Textron's total revenues. This segment has manufacturing facilities in 21 countries, and approximately 10,600 employees, of which 62 percent are based outside the United States.
E-Z-GO
E-Z-GO is the world's largest manufacturer of golf cars and utility vehicles, including the number-one selling golf car in the world. E-Z-GO golf cars are found on more golf courses around the world than any other brand. We also produce dependable turf maintenance vehicles, heavy-duty industrial burden carriers, versatile shuttle personnel carriers and rugged ST trail vehicles.
These golf cars and utility vehicles are produced at our 650,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility that incorporates the latest in industrial technology with cutting-edge machine tools and equipment.
Greenlee
A leader in wire and cable installation systems, Greenlee [1] is the premier source for professional wire and cable installation tools and test instruments. Our product lines include holemaking, wire and cable termination, electrical and communications testing and measurement, bending and pulling, and hydraulic tools.
Other markets include the electrical contractor and voice/data/video contractor and the CATV industry. In addition to the Greenlee and Tempo brands, other brands include Fairmont, a well-known name in hydraulic tools, and Klauke, based in Remscheid, Germany, that is internationally known for compression connectors, crimping and cutting tools.
Jacobsen
For more than a century, the most important turf in the world has been manicured by Jacobsen-branded products. Jacobsen manufactures a full range of turf maintenance equipment and utility vehicles for golf courses, sports fields, turfgrass production and the large estate lawn care markets. Through our Jacobsen, Cushman and Ransomes brand names, we provide customers with the most innovative equipment and the highest level of customer service.
Our employees are self-starters who are process oriented and comfortable using data-driven solutions and strategies encompassed in Textron Six Sigma – a platform that facilitates best practices and continuous improvement across all Textron businesses.
Kautex
Kautex [2] is a leading global supplier of plastic fuel systems, including plastic and metal fuel assemblies. In fact, we pioneered the development of plastic fuel tanks. Kautex’s Clear Vision System, which provides automotive windshield and headlamp cleaning, is rapidly becoming the leading brand in the global market.
We also manufacture blow-molded ducting and fluid reservoirs, cooling pipes and acoustic components. Our employees continue the innovative work that has made Kautex a leader in the plastics industry.
