We are proud to share these recent stories of how Textron is making a difference in the communities where we live and work. Through our Corporate Giving program, in partnership with many nonprofit organizations, we are providing people with the resources they need to help realize their full potential. More details are available in our Corporate Giving 2006 Annual Report.
Building and growing are important goals for Textron businesses and equally important in our philanthropic work. The communities where Textron employees live and work differ dramatically, yet they all share common challenges. Providing job training programs for the unemployed, educational opportunities for every child, economic development in low-income areas, affordable housing and services that improve the lives of working families are among the top social issues facing our neighbors.
Through our charitable giving program, we build partnerships with local agencies that address critical human needs. Many people, companies and organizations share our value of social responsibility, and Textron is honored to be part of a larger movement that strives to improve the quality of life in our communities.
We are hopeful about the future and will continue to seek ways in which we can help grow opportunities and build solutions for a stronger tomorrow.
