Working Together to Cultivate Diversity
Our leaders champion inclusivity because it supports our enterprise vision of becoming the premier multi-industry company. The Enterprise Diversity Office develops strategy and reinforces the connection between business results and diversity. Our Enterprise Diversity Team executes initiatives and offers guidance to employee groups across the enterprise. You can contribute to this culture in a number of ways.
Business Unit Diversity Teams
Our Business Unit Diversity Teams have been formed by your peers who share a commitment to advancing inclusivity at Textron. Their charter is to provide social networking opportunities and support business objectives. As a member of the working team, you’ll help develop and execute an annual diversity plan. The activities your group sponsors will help to address diversity issues and opportunities at the business unit and plant levels.
Enterprise Network Groups
You may want to join one of Textron’s Employee Network Groups, formed around some dimension of diversity, including race, ethnicity, gender or physical disability. We have more than 12 groups across the enterprise (some with branch chapters), such as:
* African-American * Generation Y * Asian-American * Native American * Hispanic * Women * GLBT
You may also take the initiative and establish a new group to encourage professional development and advance company initiatives among your personal affinity group.
