Peter C. Durette is vice president strategy and business development for Textron Inc. In this role, Durette works closely with senior leadership across the enterprise in creating and implementing business unit and corporate strategies that drive growth, profitability, and shareholder value creation. In addition to leading Textron’s cross-enterprise Strategy Council, Durette also is a corporate officer and a member of Textron’s Transformation Leadership Team, comprised of the top executives of the corporation.
Prior to joining Textron in September 2008, Durette served as partner at Trinsum, an international strategic and financial advisory firm. During his 14-year career at Trinsum, Durette’s client work spanned a number of industries – most notably diversified industrials, private equity, aerospace & defense, consumer products, healthcare and financial services – with particular expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, management process, acquisitive growth, and performance turnarounds. In addition to his client work at Trinsum, he also was the global talent partner, through which he was responsible for leading the global recruiting, development, and retention of our talent.
Durette holds a BA with honors in economics from Duke University and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business where he graduated in the top five percent of his class as a Palmer Scholar.
