Textron Systems [1] develops and provides advanced technology products and systems for the global defense and aerospace industries. We are made up of a number of operating units, including Textron Defense Systems, Lycoming Engines, Textron Marine & Land, Overwatch Systems and AAI Corporation. Textron Defense Systems manufactures air-launched weapons, intelligent battlefield munitions, and sensor and surveillance systems. Textron Marine & Land makes armored vehicles, including the Motor Life Boat for the U.S. Coast Guard and the Landing Craft Air Cushion for the U.S. Navy. Lycoming Engines engineers, manufactures and services piston aircraft engines. Overwatch Systems provides software tools that enable analysts to quickly and effectively generate relevant, actionable intelligence. AAI, the newest addition to our family of businesses, is a leader in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

Textron Defense Systems has offered a special "visit work" program for the children of employees for the past ten years. It is an opportunity for youngsters, ages seven to fifteen, to shadow parents and grandparents, attend meetings, meet their co-workers, and enjoy special activites. In 2007, the youngsters built their own rockets out of water bottles.
