 The work of Information Technology (IT) enables, enhances, sustains and protects Textron and its businesses. Because technology is integral to everything that we do, IT plays a critical role in developing and shaping our policies around these issues and managing the day-to-day responsibilities that come with deploying and maintaining IT tools. Among the most critical issues that our IT professionals address are those related to security and risk in order to protect Textron, its employees, customers and sensitive data.
Our IT professionals are business savvy and bring strong project management skills to their jobs along with a detailed knowledge of applications. They also have knowledge of SAP and understand LDAP issues.
They work closely with CIOs of their business units as well as other employees across functional areas to understand their needs and create solutions to benefit their customers and the business units. IT professionals also manage vendors and understand the issues related to the IT supply chain.
