 Members of the sales staff develop new and existing business by working through a variety of sales and distribution channels. Sales professionals work closely with members of marketing teams to develop and leverage sales programs and promotions that effectively connect with the marketplace.
By establishing themselves as experts in their particular products and the industry in which the products are used, Textron’s sales professionals become experts for their customers. Sales professionals also work closely with the customers – from preparing the proposals through the order process to delivery. Because of this connection with customers, the sales team provides the business with the front-line knowledge that can be used to strengthen the products and the supply chain.
Members of Textron’s sales teams are able to conduct training sessions with customers and/or distributor representatives, represent their business at trade shows, distributor meetings and bid openings and effectively communicate one-on-one with customers and potential customers.

Represent Textron and the business unit through the products that are being sold

Work with the sales and the marketing teams to develop sales objectives

Prepare the proposals and orders for products and services

Serve as the knowledge expert for the products and the industry in which those products are used
