Is supplier registration mandatory?

Yes, supplier registration is mandatory for all existing and potential direct suppliers, but is not currently required for indirect suppliers. A direct supplier is any supplier of a product/service used directly in the manufacture of our products. (Suppliers of materials, components, electronics, fasteners, and finishing processes are just a few typical classes of direct suppliers.) If you are a direct supplier, it is in your best interest to register so your information is available to all Textron business units and their procurement professionals.


I am an indirect supplier to Textron, do I need to register in the supplier registration portal?

No. If you require more information you may contact Textron directly at IndirectCenterOfExcellence@cessna.textron.com.


I recently registered as a Textron supplier via a different website. Do I need to re-register on this portal as well?

Yes. You must register on the Textron Supplier Registration Portal.


Why does Textron require that I register on the Supplier Registration portal?

Since Textron consists of numerous subsidiaries and operating divisions, the company is building a centralized direct supplier profile database to ensure that procurement professionals from all of our businesses have access to your profile and capabilities.


Is there a fee to the supplier for registration? If so, how much does it cost each supplier?

Yes, there is a $125 fee payable via credit card during registration.


If I am a current supplier to Textron, do I have to register and by what date?

Textron will be notifying current direct suppliers of the new registration process. Once you are notified, please register as soon as possible or within 10 business days.


What benefits do suppliers receive from registering?

Registration is necessary for direct suppliers to do business with Textron and/or any of its business units. Additionally, by participating in this supplier registration program, your company will:

  • Provide profile and site capabilities just one time even though you may be doing business with multiple business units of Textron.
  • Ensure that Textron is making decisions based on accurate and timely information.
  • Possibly gain revenue opportunities by improving your visibility across all of Textron.


Do I need to fill in all the requested information?

We encourage you to fill in all of the requested data although only the fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory.


Where will my information go? Who will have access to the information?

Information will go into Textron’s supplier profile database. Only Textron procurement professionals will have access to your unique data. This data will not be shared with any company or individuals outside of Textron.


Do I have to update my profile throughout the year? Do I have the ability to do?

We encourage you to keep your profile and capabilities data updated or submit additional data. Textron and its business units may request additional data throughout the year.


What is a D-U-N-S number?

The D&B D-U-N-S Number is a nine-digit identification sequence, which provides unique identifiers of single business entities, while linking corporate family structures together. D&B links D-U-N-S Numbers of parents, subsidiaries, headquarters and branches on more than 70 million corporate family members around the world. Used by the world's most influential standards-setting organizations, it is recognized, recommended and/or required by more than 50 global, industry and trade associations, including the United Nations, the U.S. Federal Government, the Australian Government and the European Commission. In today's global economy, the D&B D-U-N-S Number has become the standard for keeping track of the world's businesses.


How do I get a D-U-N-S number?

Click on the "Register your Company" link within the “Find Your Company” step or contact the D&B Customer Support group by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.


My credit card will not work. What should I do?

Please try the following trouble shooting tips

  • Date format is wrong (mm/dd/yyyy)
  • Billing address does not match billing address of selected credit card
  • Security code from your credit card is missing or incorrectly entered
  • Your name is incorrect or does not match name associated with the billing address
  • If you do not click on the "disclaimer", the screen will not move.
  • If you still are experiencing issues, click the Customer Support link at the bottom of the screen.
