Bell Helicopter, A Textron Company

Bell Helicopter

The Pioneer of Tiltrotor Technology

Bell Helicopter [1] is the leading provider of vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. With more than 34,000 helicopters delivered to customers around the globe, we are teaming with Boeing to introduce leading edge tiltrotor technology into aviation via the military V-22 Osprey. And we are translating this exciting technology into civilian aircraft such as the BA609. In addition to these platforms, we manufacture a variety of models of military and civil aircraft, such as our latest - the Bell 429.

Designed with significant input from our customers, the Bell 429 features the largest cabin in its class, flat floors, performance and operating costs that are some of the industry's best. Particularly suited for the Emergency Medical Service mission, the Bell 429 has already received a large number of orders.

Our military H-1 program produces the, the UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters. Between the two very different mission configurations of utility and attack, these aircraft share 84% of their parts, reducing costs in support and supply management.
