Textron Businesses

Textron consists of numerous subsidiaries and operating units. These businesses are known by familiar brand names, including Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Greenlee and E-Z-GO, among others. Every Textron business [1] is intensely committed to delivering innovative, market-leading solutions that ensure the success of our customers. Today, we continue to expand our leadership positions in five core business segments:

Bell (29% of 2007 revenues) Bell Helicopter [2] is a leader in the global helicopter industry and the pioneer of tiltrotor aircraft. Bell Helicopter is committed to providing every customer with products and services of the highest quality.   Cessna (38% of 2007 revenues) This segment consists of Cessna Aircraft Company, [3] the leading worldwide manufacturer of general aviation aircraft, with product lines spanning single-engine piston aircraft, utility turboprop aircraft and Citation business jet models. Citation customers have access to a network of 10 company-owned Citation Service Centers. Defense and Intelligence *The Defense and Intelligence segment was established in 2008 and its 2007 data is reflected under the Bell segment. Textron Systems [4] has been providing innovative solutions to the defense, homeland security and aerospace communities for over 50 years. Textron Systems is known for its precision smart weapons, intelligent battlefield systems, surveillance systems, intelligence software solutions, aircraft control components, piston engines, armored vehicles and unmanned aircraft systems. Industrial (26% of 2007 revenues) The Industrial segment is a diverse collection of high-powered industrial businesses including Greenlee [5], E-Z-GO, Jacobsen [6], Kautex [7], and the Fluid & Power group of companies [8] as well as various smaller brands within the Fluid & Power group. Finance (7% of 2007 revenues) Textron Financial [9] is a diversified commercial finance company with core operations in Aviation Finance, Asset-Based Lending, Distribution Finance, Golf Finance, Resort Finance, and Structured Capital.

[4] Textron Systems Corporation, which does business as Textron Defense Systems, is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Textron Inc.

[5] The Greenlee business unit consists of various legal entities, including but not limited to Greenlee Textron Inc. and Tempo Research Corporation.

[6] The Jacobsen business unit consists of various legal entities, including the Jacobsen Division of Textron Inc., Ransomes Inc., and Cushman Inc.

[7] Kautex is a business unit that is conducted through a number of separately incorporated companies and other operations.

[8] Textron Fluid and Power Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. The Fluid and Power Group consists of several subsidiaries and other units in related businesses.

[9] Textron Financial Corporation ("Textron Financial") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. Textron Financial is a separate legal entity and is part of the Textron family of companies.
