Our multi-layer fuel tank design meets the toughest global emissions standards. We provide our customers the highest performance from black box design and supplier management to field observation. Automotive Systems - Diverse Automotive Products

The second key component to Kautex's automotive product line is the Clear Vision System (CVS), where we design, develop and supply solutions for cleaning the front and rear windows and modern headlamp systems (i.e. xenon lights). In addition, CVS manufactures individual products such as nozzles and washer bottles rounding out our product line in this area.

SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) Systems also represents another new and innovative development in the Kautex product range. Driven by the stringent laws to reduce nitrogen oxides in the United States, Europe and Japan, systems that reduce these gases will be critical. Many diesel engines will soon require similar measures in their exhaust systems to get the mandated approval.

Kautex also develops other plastic products, which not only offer efficient utilization of space because of their excellent moldability, but also comply with the latest reqirements in leakage, heat resistance, stiffness and flexibility. CWC - Camshafts

Among the wide variety of CWC materials currently being produced for the automotive market, ductile iron has become the most popular for OEM use in camshaft applications. This is due to the higher strength and contact stress requirements of modern overhead cam roller valve train engine designs.

CWC is the industry leader in ductile iron cams for passenger car and light truck applications. CWC ductile iron is specifically engineered for roller camshaft applications and is manufactured in high volumes according to exacting customer requirements and tightly controlled internal processes. Many customers also take advantage of CWC's innovative Flame / Cryo / Temper technology for pre-hardening of the camshaft lobes. By providing castings with the camshaft lobes already at final hardness prior to machining, customers are able to lower cost and capital investment while ensuring the highest quality and most durable product available in today's market.

Another popular option is CWC's patented Selectively Austempered Ductile Iron (SADI) process, which provides a cost-effective alternative to expensive steel billet and assembled type cams for either new or existing engine applications.
