AAI Corporation [1] has more than 20 years of experience designing, producing, testing, fielding and supporting a complete family of advanced tactical UAS – the Shadow 200, Shadow 400 and Shadow 600 systems – throughout the world.
The company’s foremost UAS is the U.S. Army’s highly regarded RQ-7B Shadow 200, which has amassed a record number of combat operational hours, including vital support of warfighters in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Through a joint procurement strategy with the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps decided in mid-2007 to retire its Pioneer systems (also built by AAI) and transition to the Shadow UAS.
AAI has developed an interoperability network of common ground control systems – the state-of-the-art One System Ground Control Station, the One System Portable Ground Control Station and the One System Remote Video Terminal – in support of unmanned aircraft systems produced by AAI and other manufacturers.
The One System Ground Control Station is fully compliant with NATO STANAG (Standardization Agreement) 4586 that allows allied nations to interoperate unmanned aircraft through common ground control station technologies.
Shadow is a registered trademark of AAI Corporation.
One System is a registered trademark of the U.S. Army.
