Currently in use in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Cadillac Gage® M1117 Armored Security Vehicle (ASV) is a highly mobile, survivable and C-130 transportable 4X4 wheeled vehicle currently in production for the U.S. Army's Military Police. The ASV's modular expandable armor provides front, rear and side crew protection from small arms fire. Additionally, the ASV offers defense from artillery shell fragments detonated overhead and anti-tank mine blasts under each wheel.
The ASV is manufactured by Textron Marine & Land Systems [1], located in New Orleans, LA.

 Textron Marine and Land Systems has been awarded a $57 million contract to produce 78 Armored Security Vehicles (ASVs) for the newly formed Iraqi Civil Intervention Force. The ASVs will be employed in the ongoing effort to provide security and stability in Iraq.
