Job Summary:
Conduct materials analysis using state of the art and well-equipped Materials Laboratory tools. Job Summary:

A Material Handler - Expeditor utilizes Oracle, Solumina and eMatrix to performs a variety of administrative duties including electronically moving orders through process steps, issuing material from inventory, stock material, and closing job orders.  

Responsibilities:

This position provides an opportunity to work in a Materials Engineering/Manufacturing environment on missile re-entry vehicle systems.  Qualified candidates will possess experience in development and processing of engineered materials, specifically composites and/or ceramics.   Work will involve a broad mix of process engineering, process development, experiments and transition to production activities for advanced materials processes.  This position will support several contracts including development and fabrication efforts for GBSD and other Strategic Programs, components and materials for re-entry vehicles and aircraft structures.   Candidates are expected to draw on their broad and diverse knowledge and experience working with composite materials to develop manufacturing processes.  Guidance would include, but is not limited to, teaching, writing procedures and providing technical oversight in a production environment.

b.Performs functional checks of all mechanical systems such as engines and flight controls,fuel, oxygen and hydraulic systems making necessary corrections and adjusting for flight.
c.Sets instruments, tests run engines, rigs and synchronized throttles and sets stops.
d.Works flight test and inspection squawks making necessary adjustments or corrections.
e.Assists Mechanic, Flight Line "A" with unusual and more difficult flight line problems.
f.Maintains clean working area.
II. Required to taxi aircraft to check systems and components.
III. Uses a variety of mechanic hand tools and equipment such as tensiometers, timing lights, scale and pressure gages.
IV.May be assisted by 1 - 2 lower classification mechanics and be responsible for guiding andinstructing them.

JOB SUMMARY:

To identify malfunctions, remove, repair and install a limited variety of aircraft communication, navigation and electrical components.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Perform analysis of routine electrical malfunctions according to standard shop practices using some equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters and continuity lights.

II. Perform minor repair such as replacing wires and connectors on standard electrical components.

III. Under guidance of supervisor, assist with analysis of more complicated malfunctions and repair of standard electrical components.

IV. Install electrical and electronic components as directed.

V. Responsible only for own work.

JOB SUMMARY:
To assemble, bond, fill and sand a variety of components to a variety of composite parts. To complete interior installation of equipment in aircraft. Tech Interior 2 may be required to perform the duties and essential functions of Tech Interior 3.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Works from aircraft orders, production inspection records, engineering orders, manufacturing planning, and complete knowledge of all interior installations to determine and plan, according to requirements, the interior installations and adjustments of upholstery, furniture, and accessories per standard shop practices.
II. Plans and performs any layout requirements and investigates installation details for unique or first time interior installations.
III. Works interior repair squawks as needed to support delivery schedules.
IV. Bonds and assembles composite parts before and for upholstery with components using assembly jigs and shop aids with the use of rivets, fasteners, screws and liquid adhesive. Applies upholstery when required.
V. Keeps work area clean emphasizing cleanliness of the aircraft interior and its protection using protective covers on windows, seats, floors, etc., during and after installation.
VI. Requires using a variety of hand and power tools and basic measuring instruments.
VII. Responsible for quality of own work.
VIII. Performs other related duties as required.

Work Performed:

• Performs landscaping duties, which involve the planting and maintenance of shrubs, flowers, trees, grass, etc.
• Acts as general caretaker of the grounds to see that they are kept in good condition.

To learn operations of autoclaves, ovens and/or presses used in the bonding process.

I.  Works from bonding and process specifications, blueprints and production schedules to perform fabrication sequences for composites bonding.
II.  Performs autoclave and oven bonding functions to include:
a.  Seals the autoclave and check for vacuum leaks and short circuits in the thermocouple wiring.
b.  Checks the recorder & temperature control during the cure cycle to maintain proper conditions for valid bonding. Interprets and apply the proper amount of heat and pressure from information on bonding process instruction sheets.
c.  Plan for most effective runs for each workday. Load autoclave and/or oven for most effective heating & curing of parts, occasionally requiring operation of moving equipment.

III.  Diagnoses defective workmanship of parts.

IV.  Monitors status and report shortages of supplies and processing materials.

V.  Assists in debagging operations.

VI.  Responsible for quality of own work.

Reliability & Maintainability Engineer

The Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer is responsible for developing, managing and communicating the reliability & maintainability methodology for a military program to internal and external customers.  This position is based at Bell’s Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.

The Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer shall provide military program with professional Reliability and Maintainability engineering support.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze and score Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Investigations (EI) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for failed aircraft components.
• Perform Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and testability assessments including Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), fault detection and fault isolation.
• Assess manufacturing parametric and maintenance removal times.
• Formulate reliability analyses and predictions (including development of failure rate estimates based on handbook techniques and historical data) using Windchill Quality Solutions software.
• Develop and maintain Reliability and Maintainability assessments / predictions (MTBF, MTTR, etc.) of the aircraft based on standard handbook techniques and available historical data for electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. · Analyze scheduled maintenance tasks to ascertain duration and man-power requirements.
• Define spare component demands. Work with Cost Engineering to incorporate replacement component costs into the R&M assessment to develop and maintain the Direct Operating Cost (DOC) assessment.
• Review peer and supplier analyses of above for consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability and DOC. Work with other disciplines and suppliers to ensure program R&M requirements and objectives are achieved through a “Design for R&M” philosophy.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:        

Perform a variety of activities relating to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Programs and Training primarily focused around Safety.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to the Environmental Health Safety (EHS) and Security Manager. Interfaces with all levels of management, front-line supervisors, and bargained employees. Interaction with outside consultants and vendors as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists manager in developing and assessing strategies for the plant safety program to achieve safety goals and targets.
• Develop, implement and monitor the effectiveness of safety initiatives and programs.

A Day in the Life of a Supply Chain Contracts Associate:

The contract specialist group is responsible for driving cost and lead time savings initiatives, SCM process improvements and sourcing procedures in support of Bell Helicopter’s various global cost centers. Candidates should be familiar with general subcontracting processes, negotiating long term contracts, competitive and sole source proposal process, supplier sourcing and the initiative, drive and ability to network with internal groups to learn their requirements to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Establish and maintain a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
• Execute standard SCM policies and procedures within an assigned commodity strategy to ensure the quality and delivery of supplies and materials.
• Work closely with engineering, quality and operations in order to facilitate cost and lead time reduction initiatives that enhance the overall affordability and quality of our aircraft.

The Associate Operations Analyst is responsible for working cross-functionally between functions, programs and production to define, maintain, and analyze complete scheduling and production data.  This positions focus is to be able to assimilate multiple data inputs and be able to report or present to different levels of leadership, while having confidence of the data integrity which supports accurate schedule execution, labor accuracy, feeding weekly production progress and program metrics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyze program production schedule for issues and coordinate corrections
• Review and coordinate with master scheduling to understand schedule, production and standard information to support the best production execution
• Conduct Risk Analysis and RCCA with actions and mitigations for cost and schedule variances
• Analyze operational health metric to identify risks, look for opportunities to improve plans, and to resolve issues
• Develop and maintain planning and scheduling reporting to support the build process
• Work with Material Planning and Supply Chain on material alignment reports and presentations
• Coordinate with Financial Analysts and provide technical insight from an operational perspective on earned value variance analysis to assist CAMs in baseline variance reporting
• Work with stakeholders to analyze and incorporate approved operational changes
• Work with sister companies to work through issues and support Textron Systems scheduling activities
• Work on system issues as the business representative while partnering with IT, this includes data fixes, reporting requirements and testing
• Owner of production issue list (PIL) which includes coordinating ECDs, reporting, and updating the shared site
• Support the new business growth by supporting the RFP and proposal process ops team with information, trending, and various administrative tasks

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform breakout and tool prep operations on composite parts and tools after curing process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works under the guidance of lead to perform breakout and tool prep operations per schedule.

Prep tools with releasing agent and uses knifes and scrappers to remove any debris left from previous part. Stage tool for layup operations.

Removed tools and parts from oven after curing process is complete.

Removes all bagging material from part and tool and removes part form tool with use of basic hand tools such as shim and hammer.

Delivers and stages parts in next operation area.

JOB SUMMARY:

To machine cut, identify and stage a variety of materials.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works from work orders, specifications, and oral and written instructions to provide correct materials and patterns as required for composites parts fabrication. Operates the numerically controlled machine to cut a variety of materials

Prepares proper materials to be cut.

Set ups and runs machine.

Routinely inventories and rotates kits and materials.

Maintains all necessary documentation.

Maintains storage recording charts as required. Clocks all routings upon completion of cut and kit operations.

Assist with staging of materials for lay-up.

JOB SUMMARY:

Service Center sales include the Milwaukee, Indianapolis, New York, Greensboro, Tampa and Orlando or Sacramento, Mesa, Houston, San Antonio and Wichita company-owned Service Centers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversee the development and implementation of the Aftermarket Sales strategy for Textron Aviation in the Eastern or Western half of the United States, including the Programs, Service and Parts sales strategies.

b.Performs functional checks of all mechanical systems such as engines and flight controls,fuel, oxygen and hydraulic systems making necessary corrections and adjusting for flight.
c.Sets instruments, tests run engines, rigs and synchronized throttles and sets stops.
d.Works flight test and inspection squawks making necessary adjustments or corrections.
e.Assists Mechanic, Flight Line "A" with unusual and more difficult flight line problems.
f.Maintains clean working area.
II. Required to taxi aircraft to check systems and components.
III. Uses a variety of mechanic hand tools and equipment such as tensiometers, timing lights, scale and pressure gages.

Uses painting equipment including brushes and spray guns to perform minor rework,touch up, priming, finish painting of partial aircraft when not otherwise engaged in paint preparation duties.

JOB SUMMARY:

To perform and maintain proper inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the Service Center in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer's recommendations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure proper procedures are performed on all completed work before it is released to service. Completes all inspection and maintenance records, reports and forms required before authorized release.

2. Perform the following as delegated by the Supervisor or Lead Inspector:
   1.  Ensures no defective or unairworthy parts are installed on any product released by the Service Center.
   2. Inspect and accepts incoming material, i.e. new parts, supplies and repaired parts from contract service.
   3. Ensure proper tagging and identification of all parts during the maintenance process.
   4. Locate and use current library of aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, structure repair manuals, wiring manuals and engine manuals applicable to the Textron Aircraft Citation models.
3. Understand and organize the required aircraft inspections and maintaining of files with completed work orders and inspection forms in an efficient system for easy review by supervisor or Lead Inspector.

JOB SUMMARY:
To prepare and bag metal bond parts and assemblies for the curing process. May be required to work under the guidance of higher grade operators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Works from specifications, blueprints, oral and written instructions to record pertinent adhesive information, form and lay-up component parts and assemblies such as fiberglass, graphite, metal, and Kevlar in proper relationship according to standard shop practices where tooling and holding fixtures are usually available, and to perform a variety of operations necessary to prepare metal parts and assemblies for autoclave or oven curing process. Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations where standard lay-up methods are available, while independent action is also required to use these standards to comply with the different parts configuration and geometry.
II. Selects proper holding fixtures, bonding materials, proper size bleeders, bagging materials, and specified materials. Requires some judgment to fit and align component parts in proper sequence and specific location in bond fixture. Uses care to avoid contamination of surfaces from foreign substances such as dust or release agents. Applies various adhesives to bond component parts together. Clamps and secures parts in holding fixtures. Uses some judgment to trim, fit, and seal bleeder and bag over areas to be bonded to obtain uniform vacuum pressure. Connects hose to port and checks for leaks, wrinkles, tears, and proper seal.
III. Moves tools and parts to and from ovens. May cut away bagging materials and remove excess material or tape from holding fixtures. Uses measuring devices, and hand and power tools as required.
IV. Inspect, remove details from process rack, and match details to production order.
V. Responsible only for quality of own work.
VI. Performs other related duties as required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

I.    Operates waterjet and/or hand router to cut and trim preformed composite parts to production specifications, working from oral and written instructions.

A.     Attaches part to waterjet tool using clecos and clamps. May use backup
plate where applicable. Determines appropriate water velocity, jet diameter, setback guides, nozzle and water catcher positions, and proper handling positions of both material and tools.

     B.     Ensures proper margins and setup for trimming of small parts not requiring tooling.

II.    Makes periodic measurements to check for proper edge margins. May perform periodic minor maintenance on machine.

III.    Cleans parts as required.

IV.    Uses a variety of hand and power tools such as router, drill, saw, sander, cleco pliers, scribe, scale and tape.

V.    Responsible only for own work.

VI.    Performs other related duties as required.
 

JOB SUMMARY:
To perform mechanic work and lead other mechanics to prepare aircraft mechanically for flight test and delivery to customer.
Mech Flight Line A may be required to perform the duties and essential functions of Mech Flight Line B & Mech Flight Line C.

I. Requires a thorough knowledge of aircraft engines, mechanical systems and components on assigned models to guide, instruct and work with lower classification mechanics in the performance of the following principle duties.
a.Installs, as required, a variety of line shortage items which may involve disassembly and reassembly of previously installed items.
b.Performs functional checks on all mechanical systems such as engines and flight controls, fuel, oxygen and hydraulic systems making necessary corrections and adjusting for flight.
c.Sets instruments, tests running of engines, rigging and synchronizing throttles and setting stops.
d.Diagnoses flight test and inspection squawks and making necessary adjustments or corrections.
e.Works personally with engineering to troubleshoot the unusual and more difficult aircraft light problems.
f.Maintains clean working area.

Works from specifications, blueprints, oral and written instructions to record pertinent adhesive information, form and lay-up component parts and assemblies such as fiberglass, graphite, metal, and Kevlar in proper relationship according to standard shop practices where tooling and holding fixtures are usually available, and to perform a variety of operations necessary to prepare metal parts and assemblies for autoclave or oven curing process. Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations where standard lay-up methods are available, while independent action is also required to use these standards to comply with the different parts configuration and geometry.

2. Selects proper holding fixtures, bonding materials, proper size bleeders, bagging materials, and specified materials. Requires some judgment to fit and align component parts in proper sequence and specific location in bond fixture. Uses care to avoid contamination of surfaces from foreign substances such as dust or release agents. Applies various adhesives to bond component parts together. Clamps and secures parts in holding fixtures. Uses some judgment to trim, fit, and seal bleeder and bag over areas to be bonded to obtain uniform vacuum pressure. Connects hose to port and checks for leaks, wrinkles, tears, and proper seal.

3. Moves tools and parts to and from ovens. May cut away bagging materials and remove excess material or tape from holding fixtures. Uses measuring devices, and hand and power tools as required.

4. Inspect, remove details from process rack, and match details to production order.

5. Responsible only for quality of own work.

The  Bell Civil Certification/ODA team is seeking an experienced Propulsion Systems Engineer and ODA Unit Member. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs the functional testing required to isolate a customer complaint in a particular avionics system and repairing that aircraft system in accordance with FAA procedures.
   1. Based on in-flight analysis and/or evaluation of information received from the customer, diagnoses problems and takes corrective action.
   2. Troubleshoots problems on defective units or wiring discrepancies.
   3. Replaces defective units, repairs wiring and modifies. Works from appropriate Textron Aviation schematics, blueprints and service bulletins.
