    This summer internship will prepare you for your first steps into the business world. Working with the local IT team who are responsible for a number of global locations you will gain experience across a variety of IT disciplines, with focus on infrastructure and applications. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in projects with the global Textron Specialized Vehicles and Textron enterprise IT teams.

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Participate in the development of end-user reporting solutions by understanding user requirements, designing, developing and testing solutions;
    • Assist in the training of user department personnel and support and develop the Business System Module Experts;
    • Assist in designing, documenting and testing infrastructure processes, procedures and standards and to maintain or prepare system and software documentation as directed;
    • Assist in the training of user department personnel in desktop operating system and productivity tools;
    • Perform the configuration and deployment of all IT equipment, including laptops, desktops and cell phones;
    • Provide support for all IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, midrange, cell phones and PBX;
    • Liaise with external vendors for the ongoing support and maintenance of relevant hardware and software including Machine Tools;
    • Manage the purchase of IT equipment and software through the approved channels;
    • Assist in keeping track of the company’s infrastructure assets and manage software licenses to ensure that the infrastructure and data is kept secure and compliant at all times;
    • Perform and coordinate testing for new productivity tools, patches and disaster recovery validation;
    • Work with peers across the entire Textron enterprise to continuously improve time to market, cost and customer satisfaction for the business;
    • Work with Textron Information Services Security team to ensure that technology is used, managed and supported in accordance with company enterprise standards, policies and procedures;

    The Systems Engineer works as an integral part of the Lycoming team to design, select, integrate and validate appropriate electrical, mechanical components for use on the engine control system.  Responsible for assisting and developing electrical, mechanical requirements ranging from high level system requirements to architecture level requirements to meet the intent of overall engine system. The engineer will collaborate with the engineering team and suppliers to select components that meet the component level requirements of the engine system and follow standard systems engineering principles to integrate it on the overall system. Assistance in review and support of system testing, including calibration development involving controller stability, fine tuning of the controller to meet customer requirements will be required.

     

    The Systems Engineer will interface with Design Engineering, Applications Engineering, Test Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers. Assistance in review of the flight test data will be required to understand variations in controller stability in a dynamic profile and  refinement opportunities to the controller parameters to yield a perfectly stable system for the customer may be required.

    Job Summary:


    Working with cross-functional commodity teams, the Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Quality Engineer is responsible for all NDT activities at Lycoming and evaluating/approving external supplier NDT processes when necessary. These activities include establishing Quality System, Procedures, and Techniques for Magnetic Particle Inspection, Penetrant Inspection and Radiography. The NDT Quality Engineer will be responsible for NDT training and testing according to industry and Lycoming standards. Be responsible for conducting internal and external supplier quality system and process assessments and improvements.

    Responsibilities to Include:  

    • Develop NDT procedure(s), techniques, calibration methods, equipment evaluation for Magnetic particle Inspection, Penetrant Inspection and Radiography.
    • Develop NDT personnel training, testing methods and required administration.
    • Evaluates Special processes at external and internal suppliers
    • Conducts supplier audits to quality standards and in support of supplier selection and improvement.

    The Design Engineer works as an integral part of the Lycoming team to design, select, integrate and validate new component and subsystem solutions for aircraft piston engines.

     

    The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of, and the ability to apply, engineering principals in the design and operation of piston aircraft engines.  This position offers the right engineer the opportunity to work the full spectrum of new product development;  from concept development and prototyping, to design refinement and transition to production.  Success in this position will require the engineer to create performance and reliability solutions in a highly regulated industry and structured manufacturing environment.

    Primary Responsibilities:
