    Description - External
    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
     
    Assist the EHS & Facilities Manager to ensure that the facility operations comply with local, state and federal regulations and corporate policies related to environmental issues. Lead sustainability program (Energy Efficiency and Pollution Prevention) for Lycoming Engines.
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Perform reporting activities as required to comply with: Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and other waste management regulations, Clean Air Act and its Amendments (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Above ground & underground storage tank regulations, Pollution Prevention Contingency plan and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure plan and technical oversight of wastewater treatment system
    • Lead sustainability program: Oversee Green Team, report metrics around energy usage and pollution prevention activities, work with maintenance and other functions to drive sustainability initiatives and projects
    • Support safety program: Participate in 5S and other Health & Safety activities, provides safety and other safety related activities as required
    All other duties as assigned
     
     
    Qualifications - External
    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
    • Broad knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting requirements 
    • Chemistry and /or environmental science background to evaluate processes, as required 
    • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and consultants 
    • Proficient computer skills; experience in MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Project management and planning skills are preferred 
    • Self-motivated, customer-focused, problem solver with the ability to multi-task, and demonstrate leadership without direct line authority 
    • 3-5 years' work experience in science and/or Environmental Discipline, emphasis on industrial or manufacturing process experience is preferred
    • A working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems a plus
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
    • B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Physical, Biological, or Environmental Science or related discipline (ex. Industrial Health & Safety)

    ?     Create and maintain detailed operational processes for parts, sub-assemblies, and engine build ensuring that mistake proofing techniques are incorporated into these processes.

    Job Summary 

    Working with cross-functional commodity teams, the Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Quality Engineer is responsible for all NDT activities at Lycoming and evaluating/ approving external supplier NDT processes when necessary. These activities include establishing Quality System, Procedures, and Techniques for Magnetic Particle Inspection, Penetrant Inspection and Radiography. The NDT Quality Engineer will be responsible for NDT training and testing according to industry and Lycoming standards. Be responsible for conducting internal and external supplier quality system and process assessments and improvements.

    Responsibilities to Include:

    ·        Develop NDT procedure(s), techniques, calibration methods, equipment evaluation for Magnetic particle Inspection, Penetrant Inspection and Radiography.

    • Develop NDT personnel training, testing methods and required administration.
    • Evaluates Special processes at external and internal suppliers.
    • Conducts supplier audits to quality standards and in support of supplier selection and improvement.
    • Drives effective root cause analyses and corrective action. Spearheads process improvement activities at supplier facilities.
    • Performs Quality Engineering tasks like Quality Planning, Data Analysis and Process Control activities.
    • Oversight and administration of the onsite Radiation Safety Program

    Position Requirements:

    • At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering environment (8 years’ experience if candidate has an associate degree instead of a bachelor's degree)  

    ·        Travel Requirements: 20-40%

    ·        In lieu of Level III certification, candidates that have the required qualifications of Level II NAS410 and the ability to test may be considered, however they will be required to certify at Level III within 60 days of hire.

    Education:

    •  Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred.

     

    License and Certification Requirements:    

    • ASNT Level III NDT certification in Mag Particle, Penetrant and Radiography is required.

    Primary Function

    Lead strategic sales efforts to help maintain and grow Lycoming’s market positions by identifying, sizing and developing business relationships with target customers.

    Act as a liaison between the field and the factory to communicate the voice of the customer. 

    Work collaboratively with functional leaders and executives to facilitate the creation of new promotions, product offerings and refined distribution strategies to best align with changing market conditions, competitive product offerings and emerging market opportunities.

    The person in this role will be an excellent relationship builder and a team leader with strong customer service orientation and possess a proven track record of working with others to drive sales via increased levels of customer engagement and responsiveness.

     

    Primary Roles & Responsibilities: 

    Lead efforts related to international sales retention and growth. Manage account interface opportunities with respect to International OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) accounts and Lycoming’s Aftermarket pursuits and activities.

    -      Research and meet with customers to uncover and cultivate new business opportunities and relationships.  Assist in defining the best product and/or service for each opportunity.

    -      Develop and present business plans based on customer needs, changes in regional market conditions and emerging market opportunities.

    -      Facilitate new product offerings into new and existing customer and channel product and service offerings.

    -      Insure financial and non-financial company objectives are met or exceeded.

    -      Participate in the development of Annual Sales Forecasts and Long-Range Planning.

    -      Oversight of International distribution network dynamics (performance, challenges, variations, etc.) to evaluate, propose and implement necessary changes.

    -      Liaison between the field and the factory to ensure processes (both internal and external) and sales strategies remain customer focused.

    -      Improve organizational (internal) understanding of aftermarket/distribution dynamics to improve cross-functional coordination.

    -      Attend and represent Lycoming at select key trade shows.

    -      Maintain an effective knowledge of external market factors, including competitive information, in order to make recommendations and informed decisions.

    -      Maintain, identify, and build key customer relationships to drive new business.

    -      Proactively follow-up and communicate with internal and external customers to ensure information is flowing to address and resolve opportunities.

    Organization Relationships: 

    This position reports to the Director of International Sales and will directly interface with internal Strategy/Marketing/Communications, other Regional Sales Managers, Customer Service and Product Support departments to resolve issues and optimize opportunities. 

    The person in this role will interface on a regular basis with Lycoming’s Authorized Distributors, industry peers, OEM teams, engine shops, and End Users.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor Degree in Business, Technical discipline, or related Aeronautical Engineering is a plus or equivalent directly-related experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of general aviation industry, Lycoming Products and Services, and how they are applied.
    • 10-15 years experience with Distribution and Channel Management is a requirement
    • Self-motivated, problem solver who is driven and motivated to grow sales and maintain excellent customer relationships.
    • Excellent communication & presentation skills, strong presence, judgment and negotiation skills.
    • This individual is preferred to reside in Australia with travel (up to 75%) required – primarily within the territory, with domestic travel as necessary.

     

    Additional Competencies Required:
