Volunteers for Trinity Habitat for Humanity
On September 18 in Fort Worth, Texas, Bell's African Ancestry Networking Group (BAANG) and employees from Textron Corporate volunteered at a Trinity Habitat for Humanity building site. The build was for a family from Myanmar who was in need of a new and affordable home. The family even participated in the build and were extremely thankful of those helping. The home is expected to be finished within the next few months.
These volunteers worked a six-hour day in the hot Texas sun but managed to nail the cross posts on the entire house, apply anker screws for all vertical posts, raise the front patio frame, and nail exterior wall plywood on approximately 40% of the walls. BAANG provided lunch for Textron and Bell employees and was appreciative of the joint effort. Bell and Textron Corporate employees frequently participate in local community events in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
