Wall Raising Kicks Off 12th Wichita Habitat for Humanity Project

Textron Aviation kicked off construction of its 12th Wichita Habitat for Humanity home with a special wall-raising ceremony on Wednesday, April, 3. Over the next few months, hundreds of Textron Aviation will participate in completing construction of a new home for a family of seven.

The new homeowners will participate throughout the construction project. Textron Aviation is building a home for parents Binda and Sikitu, along with their five children. The family immigrated to the United States from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2016.

Members of Wichita's aviation industry will work alongside three hardworking families, helping them build their affordable homes during the "Air Capital Build" on North Estelle Street.
